Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Fast Surveys collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit our website, create an account, create surveys or website widgets, respond to surveys or widgets, or use our services.
Fast Surveys is operated by Jamie Lee Peak, trading as Contrast Two. This policy is effective from 25 August 2026.
Who we are
Fast Surveys ('we', 'us' or 'our') is a service operated by Jamie Lee Peak, trading as Contrast Two. For account, billing, website and service administration data, we act as the data controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
When a Fast Surveys customer uses the platform to collect survey or website widget responses, that customer will normally be the data controller for the information collected from respondents. Fast Surveys processes that information on the customer's behalf. If you have responded to a survey or widget and want to exercise your data rights, you should normally contact the organisation or person who created it first.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Fast Surveys, we may collect and process the following information:
- Account information: first name, last name, email address and password. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google.
- Survey and widget content: questions, answer options, settings, uploaded content and other information added by an account holder.
- Response information: answers submitted through a survey or website widget, including any optional contact information requested by the survey owner.
- Technical information: IP address, browser, browser version, operating system, device information, approximate location, timestamps and service activity.
- Payment information: subscription and transaction information. Payments are processed by Stripe and Fast Surveys does not store complete payment card details.
- Communications: messages, support requests and other information you send to us.
- Analytics information: information about how visitors and account holders use our website and service.
Information about other people
If you create a survey or widget that collects personal information from other people, you are responsible for having an appropriate lawful basis, providing any required privacy information and respecting their data protection rights.
How and why we use personal information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- To create and manage accounts.
- To provide surveys, website widgets, analytics, AI features and other requested services.
- To process subscriptions and payments.
- To send service messages and respond to support requests.
- To maintain security, prevent misuse and investigate technical problems.
- To understand and improve the performance, reliability and usability of Fast Surveys.
- To comply with legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
- To send marketing communications where permitted by law. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Our lawful bases
Depending on the purpose, we process personal information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, to comply with a legal obligation, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and improving a secure and reliable service, or because you have given consent. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
For response information processed on behalf of a Fast Surveys customer, the customer is responsible for determining the appropriate lawful basis.
Cookies and analytics
Fast Surveys uses essential cookies to maintain sessions, remember preferences and provide requested features. These cookies are necessary for the service to work.
We also use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how the website and service are used. Where required, these non-essential technologies are used with your consent. You can refuse or change your choice for non-essential cookies without losing access to essential parts of the service.
For more information, please read our Cookie Policy.
AI-powered features
Fast Surveys uses the OpenAI API to provide AI-powered survey creation and AI response summaries. AI survey creation applies to surveys only and does not create website widgets.
When you use AI survey creation, the brief and settings you provide are sent to OpenAI so a survey can be generated.
When you use an AI response summary, Fast Surveys sends the survey question and the text responses submitted for that question to OpenAI. Names and email addresses stored in dedicated contact fields are removed before the content is submitted. However, personal information entered directly into a free-text response may still be included.
OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default. OpenAI may retain prompts, outputs and related information in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, unless longer retention is required by law or is reasonably necessary to protect its services or third parties from harm.
AI-generated surveys and summaries may contain errors or omit relevant context. Account holders should review AI-generated content before relying on, publishing or acting on it. These features assist with survey creation and analysis and do not make legal or similarly significant decisions about individuals.
Connecting an AI assistant
You can connect a Fast Surveys account to an AI assistant, including ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and other tools that use the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The connection uses your existing Fast Surveys login. You choose the account and can disconnect it at any time.
Once connected, the assistant can ask Fast Surveys for information already stored on that account, within the limits that apply to your connected Fast Surveys account. That can include surveys, questions, results, written responses, and respondent names, email addresses and countries where a survey collected them. Fast Surveys sends that information to the assistant so it can show it in the chat. The assistant's provider then handles it under that provider's own terms and privacy policy.
If you ask the assistant to create a survey or summarise responses, Fast Surveys still uses the AI processing described above. The assistant does not receive a copy of every response on your account unless you ask for information that includes it.
Who we share information with
We share information only where necessary to provide and protect Fast Surveys, meet legal obligations or respond to a valid request. Our principal service providers are:
- ScalaHosting: website, application and database hosting in New York, United States.
- Amazon Web Services: Amazon S3 file storage.
- Stripe: subscription and payment processing.
- Twilio SendGrid: transactional email delivery.
- Google: Google sign-in, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. When you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile photo so we can create or open your account. The profile photo is stored with our other account photos.
- OpenAI: AI survey generation and AI response summaries.
- Cloudflare: bot checks on account signup and on AI generation, when those checks are switched on. Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum describes the information used for that check.
- AI assistants you connect: when you connect ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or another MCP client, information from the connected account is sent to that assistant as described above.
We may also disclose information to professional advisers, regulators, courts or law enforcement agencies where necessary or required by law. We do not sell personal information.
International transfers
Fast Surveys is based in the United Kingdom, but some of our service providers process information in the United States or other countries. This includes our hosting provider in New York and other providers listed above. Where personal information is transferred outside the United Kingdom, we use the transfer mechanisms and safeguards provided by those services and required by applicable UK data protection law.
How long we keep information
Account information, surveys, widgets and responses are kept while the relevant account or content remains active. When an account, survey, widget or response is deleted through Fast Surveys, it is deleted immediately from our active systems and is not retained in backups.
We may retain limited transaction, tax, security or legal records where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Third-party providers may retain information according to their own retention requirements. In particular, OpenAI abuse-monitoring logs may be retained for up to 30 days as described above.
Keeping information secure
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information from accidental loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, passwords are not stored in plain text, and access is limited to people and providers with a genuine need to process the information.
No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. We maintain procedures for responding to suspected data breaches and will notify affected people and regulators where legally required.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Ask us to delete your personal information.
- Ask us to restrict how we use your personal information.
- Object to certain uses of your personal information, including direct marketing.
- Receive certain information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Raise concerns about automated decision-making where applicable.
To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below. We may need enough information to confirm your identity and understand your request.
If your request relates to a survey or widget created by one of our customers, you should normally contact that customer first because they control the response information.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. More information is available on the ICO website.
Children's information
Fast Surveys accounts are intended for people aged 18 or over. If an account holder uses Fast Surveys to collect information from children, they are responsible for obtaining any required permission, providing appropriate privacy information and complying with applicable law.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
